December Newsletter – Seasons Greetings

Happy Holidays from Author Shelia M. Goss
Greetings! May peace and joy fill your lives this holiday season. I appreciate the support you’ve shown me this past year.  Since my last newsletter, I’ve gotten a chance to meet a lot of new people. Some of you have emailed me after reading Paige’s Web and I appreciate it. I would like to thank SistahFriend Book Club for spotlighting my book on their website. I also want to tell the ladies of Girlfriends, Inc of Memphis  that I enjoyed your book club meeting. You ladies know how to dig deep and brought up some good points. Don’t forget to invite me to the party (smile). A special thanks goes out to the SisterCircle Book Group for hosting the Paige’s Web Book Release Party a few weeks ago. This release was special thanks to you all.

The Greatest Gift

By Shelia M. Goss

Christmas is a time for giving

And a time for Love.

The Greatest Gift of All

Is from heaven above.

Remember, not clothes, not jewelry

Or other things you may get.

But Jesus, our Savior,

Comes bearing the Greatest Gifts.

All the best to you and your family,

Shelia M. Goss

Pop Goes the Weasel and the Weasel Goes STOP!

Imagine my surprise when I read the possibilities that microwave buttered popcorn could cause cancer.

Consumers, not just factory workers, may be in danger from fumes from buttery flavoring in microwave popcorn, according to a warning letter to federal regulators from a doctor at a leading lung research hospital.  To read more…

My dad died from lung cancer and he was not a smoker. We really don’t know how he developed it.  Reading the article made me wonder if not just popcorn but other microwave stuff could be the cause of cancer in individuals.

Jamba Juice

I started drinking Jamba Juice several years ago while in Dallas. I would get one on those days I ran errands on my lunch break. I just came across an article about my favorite meal substitute.

Jamba Juice has made its way onto virtually every corner so that we can all feel the power of 100% fruit juice, but you may be feeling more than fruit juice here folks. These so called smoothies are heavily loaded with calories and sugar.

No wonder I like it…it’s full of sugar…here I thought I was doing well by not eating a burger.  To Read more…
